Saturday, December 7, 2008 MoE presents
On December 7, 2008, from 4 to 7 pm, MoE hosted SOS, a catered cocktail affair
boasting a festive holiday spirit at the Double Tree Hotel – Dallas Campbell
Center. Our beneficiary for this event was Jonathan’s Place
(www.jpkids.org), a safe house for youth ranging

Dedicated to service and fulfilling our 2nd Annual Backpack Drive initiatives from beginning
to end, MoE convened at the Resource Center of Dallas to fill 150 backpacks up with
pencils, pens, rulers, paper, binders and folders. We were joined by volunteers

In an effort to fulfill its goal of raising money and gathering supplies to award kids backpacks as the embark on their 2007-2008 school year, MoE held a backpack filler and give-away event at Great Plains Restoration Council. Members present were M. Smith, J. Dotson, T. Rossum, D. Lavine & S. Coleman. (1.5 community volunteer hours earned.) ---------- Saturday, July 28, 2007 A Classic Movie Night: Martinis and Mahogany
In the spirit of networking, Men of Essence held a movie night showing the film "Mahogany" starring Diana Ross. Scrumptious food and an intimate setting was provided by Creative Events of Dallas on Oak Lawn. ---------- Saturday, June 30, 2007 Men of Essence Backpack Drive Kickoff Event
On Saturday, June 30, 2007, Men of Essence held it's First Annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive Kickoff Event at Fuse Restaurant of Dallas. Men of Essence set a goal of awarding 100 backpacks to kids benefitted either directly or indirectly by 3 other 501c3 nonprofit organizations: the Great Plains Restoration Council, A Sister's Gift, and the 2000 Roses Foundation. ---------- Saturday, March 31, 2007 The Men of Essence Supper Club
